Mum: Sam, your parcel’s finally arrived.

Sam: Great, just in time for tomorrow!

Mum: But, please take your headphones off. We can’t talk properly when you’re wearing

them.

Sam: OK. I’ll open the parcel and try the trainers on. I hope they are the right size.

Mum: How do they feel?

Sam: Mum, they are just perfect and they match my T-shirt. Thanks.

Mum: You’re welcome. I hope they will help you win the competition.

Tekst 2.

Woman: Jack, I’m sorry but I won’t be able to drive you to school tomorrow. I have to leave

home half an hour earlier than usual. Could you go by bike?

Boy: Unfortunately, something is wrong with the back wheel, but I can take the bus.

Woman: I’ll just check the weather forecast. Oh no, it says it’s going to rain all day.

It’s a 15-minute walk to the bus stop, you’ll get terribly wet.

Boy: So can I go with you? I don’t mind getting to school earlier.

Woman: OK. Let’s do that. I’ll drive you then. And we’ll try to get your bike fixed at the

weekend.

Tekst 3.

Girl: Hi Dad! I’m calling to say that I’ll be back a bit late today.

Dad: Why? What’s the matter?

Girl: I still have to return the books I borrowed last month and now I’m waiting to buy some

fruit for the class party tomorrow. It will take a while because there are a few people in

front of me in the queue. But as soon as I’m done with everything, I’ll come straight

home.

Dad: OK, but please be back before 5 and remember that you have a doctor’s appointment

at 6.30.

Girl: Hi, James! Thanks for inviting me to your party. I’m looking forward to it. There’s just

one thing. My cousin is staying at my place this weekend, because he’s helping me

redecorate my room. Can I bring him with me? I don’t want to leave him alone for the

whole evening and I’m sure we’ll all enjoy his company. Please call me back.

Boy: The mystery kept me fascinated until the very end. It is based on Agatha Christie’s

book with the same title and Philip Ronin is the director. I had a very good place in the

second row, so the actors were just a few metres from me. The stage was almost

empty, with only a table and two chairs on it. I had to use my imagination, so it was

different from watching a film. Next month I’m going to read the book for school.

I wonder if I will like it.
