Girl: I recently bought a pair of beautiful shorts from a girl who lives in another town.

Unfortunately, they don’t fit me. But I didn’t send them back because of what the girl had put

in the parcel with the shorts. It was a vintage hat. That was a nice surprise. I absolutely love

it! It’s black with green cucumbers all over it. Each cucumber has a little smiling face, which

is just perfect.

Boy: I just love buying second-hand things. It’s eco-friendly and inexpensive. I also sell my

used stuff online. I recently sold all my childhood books for a really good price. I immediately

used that money to buy a present for my mum: a beautiful scarf. It wasn’t brand new, but my

mum is also a fan of giving things a second life, so she loved it.

Girl: I normally don’t buy second-hand stuff. Why? Well, I just like new things because they

are usually in better condition. But last week I was on a second-hand website and saw

a beautiful sweater. The description said that the seller’s mother had made it herself by hand.

I loved the fact that it was not produced in a factory so I bought it. It arrived yesterday.

It is not perfect but it’s really special for me.

Boy: Prices are so high these days that I can’t afford to buy new things. That’s why I am

a member of an online group of people who exchange things they don’t need or like

anymore. So I usually get great products without paying any money at all. Just last week

someone from the group was offering a comic book which I’d always wanted to have, but

couldn’t find. I offered him one of my vintage records for it and he agreed.
